SAGE...
Because it’s never too late to learn
Sage is targeted primarily at retired people who have time on their hands and are looking to meet with like-minded people, enjoying a variety of different social activities. It is based on the U3A model (University of the 3rd Age) which is a popular national programme, also targeted at retired people, offering a large variety of interesting activities and discussion groups.
Sage was first launched in January 2016 and is now in its 7th successful year with a membership of over 400.
Sage meets on Tuesday afternoons. Each week has a detailed plan of different activities that includes guest speakers, films, bridge and bridge for beginners, current affairs discussions, IT tuition, book club and more besides.

PrimeTime
PrimeTime is a new and exciting group focusing on our most senior members, mainly those over 80 and living alone.
Its aim is to hold informal social gatherings giving companionship and support to these members and to help them make new acquaintances, re-kindle old friendships and bring the community together in an informal setting.
PrimeTime is building on the highly successful Sage group which runs on Tuesday afternoons.
